Senior Java Developer – Low Latency Systems

About the role

Join a global technology team that builds and supports high‑performance market‑data and trading platforms for EMEA and the US. The role focuses on low‑latency distribution of real‑time market data from more than 70 proprietary direct feeds, operating in a performance‑critical Linux environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance, low‑latency applications using Core Java.
• Perform JVM profiling and tuning (garbage collection, memory, threads, CPU, latency).
• Develop and optimise low‑latency network components and kernel‑bypass solutions.
• Integrate proprietary direct feeds and market‑data distribution protocols for EMEA and US Options markets.
• Investigate production incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on software development with strong expertise in Core Java and performance‑critical systems.
• Extensive experience with Linux development, troubleshooting and production support.
• Proven ability to design low‑latency, high‑throughput, mission‑critical applications.
• Strong knowledge of low‑latency network programming, TCP/IP, sockets and kernel‑bypass technologies.

Required skills
