Senior Management Accountant

About the role

A prestigious Cambridge‑based organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join its finance team during an exciting period of growth and transformation. The role is highly visible, working closely with senior stakeholders and leading key financial processes, including a forthcoming finance systems implementation project.

Key responsibilities

• Production and review of monthly management accounts
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Variance analysis and insightful reporting to stakeholders
• Business partnering across multiple departments
• Cash flow reporting and financial analysis
• Supporting process improvements and finance transformation initiatives
• Line management and development of two finance team members
• Contributing to a major finance system implementation project

Required profile

• Strong management accounting experience
• Budgeting, forecasting and month‑end reporting expertise
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Previous team leadership, supervisory or mentoring experience
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT or strong QBE background considered
• A proactive approach to process improvement and change management
• Experience within education, charity or not‑for‑profit environments (beneficial but not essential)
