Senior Manager – Chartered Accountancy (North East Kent)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to join a Chartered Accountancy practice in North East Kent. The role combines client relationship ownership, technical accountancy work and leadership of junior staff, offering a fast‑track path towards directorship.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for a varied portfolio of clients, delivering proactive tax planning and business strategy advice.
• Review and sign‑off work prepared by junior staff, including accounts, VAT returns and tax computations.
• Prepare or support the preparation of year‑end accounts, corporation tax returns and management accounts.
• Mentor, train and develop junior team members in technical and professional skills.
• Manage workflow, deadlines and resource planning to ensure timely delivery.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and contribute to new business development.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK tax and accounting legislation and ensure compliance with AML, GDPR and other regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Qualified as ACA, ACCA or an equivalent chartered accountancy qualification.
