Senior Marine Account Handler

About the role

Join a boutique Lloyd's broker specialising in marine insurance. As a Senior Marine Account Handler you will manage a portfolio of marine accounts, work closely with brokers and underwriting teams, and support the growth of the Marine team in a fast‑moving, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a portfolio of marine accounts within a sub‑team of five.
• Create open market MRC slips, facility declarations, endorsements and prepare client documentation.
• Submit MRC slips via the Whitespace Platform and forward agreements to underwriters.
• Manage renewals, adjustments and process risks in the in‑house broking system.
• Generate debit/credit notes, issue closings to underwriters and calculate premiums for Hull & War placements.
• Submit premium LPANS to DXC technologies and handle related queries.
• Provide technical support to placing brokers and collaborate with the accounts/finance team.
• Network with overseas offices and lead weekly team meetings on renewal lists.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Account Handler or Technician in the London insurance market.
• Marine Hull & War underwriting experience with multinational exposure.
• Strong attention to detail in preparing MRC slips and processing premiums.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of Italian and CII certification are a plus but not essential.
