Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join one of its teams based in Birchwood Park, Warrington, or Westlakes Industria Estate, Cumbria. You will support the principal engineer and help deliver design and documentation outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Support the principal engineer on design deliverables, including NFRs, OIMSCDM risk assessments and the CDM Register of Residual Design Risks
• Produce drawings, specifications and substantiations
• Understand the roles and specifications of CDM
• Produce design packages suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements and risk assessments

Required profile

• HNC/HND, scientific or engineering degree
• Experience producing design packages suitable for manufacture and installation
• Familiarity with and experience of working to and complying with applicable SL practices, standards and engineering guides
