Senior National Account Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior National Account Manager to lead and grow our client’s grocery retail business with one of the UK’s largest retailers. Reporting to the Sales Controller, you will own the full P&L for a multi‑category portfolio and drive profitable growth through strategic account management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deepen the relationship with a major grocery retail customer.
• Identify and act on growth opportunities using category‑management techniques and promotional planning.
• Own all aspects of negotiation, including pricing, promotions and margin performance.
• Lead new product development (NPD) initiatives that align with consumer trends.
• Collaborate with innovation and NPD teams to bring new ideas to market.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a Top‑4 grocery retail account in an own‑label FMCG environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering margin‑focused results.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
• Passion for food and an interest in product innovation.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills and the capacity to perform under pressure.
