Senior Operations Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading principal contractor in façade and cladding, is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of multiple high‑value residential projects across London. Reporting to the Director, you will provide strategic leadership, mentor a team of Operations Managers and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Operations Managers, providing coaching, performance reviews and career development.
• Oversee simultaneous delivery of façade and cladding projects from pre‑construction through completion.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, risk mitigation and overall project performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Pre‑Construction and Design teams to ensure seamless hand‑over and execution.
• Monitor programmes, resources, budgets and quality metrics, taking corrective action when needed.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and industry regulations.
• Support recruitment, succession planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level experience (Operations Manager or Operations Director) within the façade, cladding or external envelope sector, preferably with remedial projects.
• Proven track record of managing multiple high‑value construction projects concurrently.
• Experience leading and developing Operations Managers and site‑based teams.
• Strong understanding of façade systems, rainscreen cladding and external envelope construction.
