Senior Paraplanner

About the role

Our client is a leading international investment management and financial planning firm managing around £100bn of assets. They are expanding their UK advice team and are looking for a Senior Paraplanner to join a well‑established London office. The role offers a blend of client‑facing advice and technical paraplanning, with flexibility to match the right candidate’s experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fact‑finding calls to capture client objectives, financial circumstances and cash‑flow needs.
• Analyse client portfolios and recommend appropriate asset allocations.
• Review and advise on pension transfers, investment bonds, taxation and account structure suitability.
• Prepare detailed suitability reports, written recommendations and financial planning proposals.
• Communicate advice directly to clients, ensuring clear understanding.
• Collaborate with internal departments to deliver optimal client outcomes.
• Support training initiatives and contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with FCA regulations, internal terms and Fit & Proper standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years’ experience in financial services, preferably in financial planning or paraplanning.
• Strong understanding of financial planning principles and client suitability.
• Experience with pensions, investments and tax planning.
• Ability to work accurately with complex data and manage workloads effectively.
• Degree‑educated or equivalent professional experience; Level 4 qualification (e.g., CII Diploma) preferred.
