Senior Paraplanner – Lead a Small Team

About the role

We are partnering with an established independent financial planning firm that is looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to step into a leadership role. You will remain hands‑on with client work while guiding a dedicated team of four paraplanners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of four paraplanners.
• Produce high‑quality suitability reports and financial planning documentation.
• Conduct technical research across pensions, investments and protection products.
• Collaborate closely with Financial Advisers to deliver excellent client outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of report writing and technical accuracy.
• Provide guidance, mentoring and technical support to the paraplanning team.
• Assist with process improvements and ensure efficient workflow management.
• Utilise Salesforce and other internal systems effectively.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry legislation and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Senior Paraplanner or in a paraplanning leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a small team.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and financial planning.
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and organisational abilities.
• Chartered Financial Planner or Fellow qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
