Senior Part‑Time Sales Assistant – Retail Leadership

About the role

Heron Foods is looking for a Senior Part‑Time Sales Assistant to join its store in Pemberton, Wigan. In this role you will support daily store operations, lead the team on the shop floor and step in for management when required, all while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate and support the sales team to achieve store targets.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve queries promptly.
• Ensure the store is tidy, well‑stocked and visually appealing.
• Assist with stock management, deliveries and inventory checks.
• Act as a keyholder, opening and closing the store and covering for managers when absent.

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and professional attitude.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a fast‑moving retail environment.
• Previous leadership experience in retail or hospitality, preferably with key‑holder responsibilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and take ownership of supervisory duties.
