Senior Pension Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Pension Administrator to join a leading UK pensions consultancy. You will work within the Scheme Administration team, delivering high‑quality service to a diverse portfolio of clients and supporting both scheme members and trustees.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update member records with accuracy and care.
• Process key member events such as retirements, deaths, early leavers, transfers and quotations.
• Act as the technical point of contact for complex queries and non‑standard cases.
• Escalate technical issues when required and collaborate with senior team members.
• Prepare and verify manual and computer‑generated benefit calculations and related communications.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues by reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance.
• Attend trustee or client meetings, providing expert insight and guidance.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislative and scheme‑specific changes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Pensions Administration role, preferably within a consultancy or third‑party administration setting.
• Strong knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, capable of managing complex calculations.
• Confident communicator who enjoys supporting both team members and clients.
• Proactive, collaborative approach to work.
