Senior People Services Coordinator (12‑Month FTC)

About the role

Pure Resourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior People Services Coordinator on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to provide maternity cover. The role is based in Cambridge with hybrid working (three days on‑site) and offers the chance to lead a small team while delivering high‑quality HR services across the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of HR and payroll administration services.
• Provide first‑line HR advice and guidance to employees and managers.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll processing and policy implementation.
• Manage and develop a small People Services team, ensuring high standards of service.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and compliant HR records and systems.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders to deliver an outstanding employee experience.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an HR administration or coordination role.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and UK employment legislation.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven discretion handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Proactive, customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience with HR and payroll systems (any platform).
