Senior Philanthropy Manager, Transformational Giving

About the role

The British Red Cross is looking for a Senior Philanthropy Manager, Transformational Giving, based in London with weekly office presence. The role is not a traditional major gifts fundraising position: it creates the conditions for transformational investment at the charity, working with major philanthropists, foundations and strategic partners able to invest at £1m+ level. It sits across priority areas such as climate and health, nutrition, livelihoods, humanitarian response and health equity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with major philanthropists, foundations and strategic partners
• Position the British Red Cross as a trusted, visible and influential partner in key philanthropic ecosystems
• Build internal and external networks, develop partnerships and craft compelling investment propositions
• Contribute to the future direction of the transformational giving strategy alongside senior leaders, technical experts and international partners

Required profile

• Significant experience securing and managing high-value philanthropic, foundation or institutional partnerships
• Track record of developing complex funding opportunities and influencing senior stakeholders
• Experience with major philanthropists, trusts and foundations, family offices, donor-advised funds or strategic funding partners
• Collaborative approach and ability to work across organisational boundaries

What we offer

• Salary of £54,145 - £57,627 per year, 35 hours per week, permanent contract
