About the role
We are seeking a Senior Practice Accountant to join a well‑established accountancy firm in Folkestone. The role offers a blend of accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT work with a high degree of autonomy and study support.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for clients.
- Assist in the production of management accounts.
- Prepare and review personal tax, corporate tax and VAT returns.
- Review bookkeeping using Xero or QuickBooks.
- Coach and mentor junior staff members and trainees.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
- AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Hands‑on experience of accounts, tax and VAT preparation.
- Ability to commute from Ashford, Canterbury, Dover, Tenterden, Faversham, Folkestone or surrounding areas.
