Senior Pre-Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Pre‑Construction Manager to lead our Building Solutions team in the London & Southern Region. The role involves overseeing pre‑construction activities from tender issuance through to operational handover for projects up to £15 million.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all pre‑construction work, ensuring milestones are met and quality standards upheld.
• Manage and develop a team of pre‑construction and estimating professionals, balancing workloads and promoting wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply‑chain partners to secure confidence in delivery.
• Contribute to bid strategy, risk identification and commercial assessment alongside governance, estimating, planning and design teams.
• Conduct site visits and engage stakeholders to inform detailed design and pricing, de‑risking projects during pre‑construction.

Required profile

• HNC, HND or degree in construction or engineering with membership of CIOB, APM, CIAT or RICS.
• Significant pre‑construction experience on projects up to £15 million and proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities, with strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Commercial and contractual awareness and the ability to work collaboratively.
