Senior Process Technologist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Process Technologist to join our New Product Development (NPD) team in Manchester. Reporting to the NPD Manager, you will work in a retailer‑facing environment, applying your baking expertise to drive new product launches and ensure consistent quality.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise factory settings to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Coordinate factory trials and first‑production runs for new bakery products.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards during trial runs.
• Document process parameters and outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers throughout the NPD process.
• Mentor and support junior team members, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a bakery or food production NPD environment.
• Strong passion for baking and product innovation.
• Experience working in a retailer‑facing environment.
• Self‑motivated, driven and able to work autonomously.
