Senior Project Manager – Security Programme

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a critical programme protecting national infrastructure. The role involves delivering multiple, inter‑linked projects across cyber, physical and information security while operating in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead several concurrent projects within the security programme, balancing priorities and shared resources.
• Develop and maintain robust project plans, risk registers, dependency maps and governance artefacts.
• Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, translating technical security concepts into clear business language.
• Coordinate resources across projects to minimise conflicts and delivery risks.
• Ensure strong project controls, reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering multiple projects within a larger programme.
• Deep understanding of at least one security domain – NIS, cyber security, IT/security or physical security – with the ability to grasp the wider security landscape quickly.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable challenging senior stakeholders.
• Experience working in regulated sectors such as energy, utilities or critical infrastructure is highly desirable.

What we offer

• 6‑month initial contract with a daily rate of £700 (Inside IR35).
