Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter

About the role

Zurich’s Regional Underwriting team in Manchester is looking for a Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter. The role can be full‑time, part‑time or job‑share and operates in a hybrid model. You will lead new‑business underwriting, develop creative solutions for customers and support the growth of the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service and timely, high‑quality underwriting solutions to customers and stakeholders.
• Take ownership of your workload while collaborating with colleagues to meet collective targets.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development.
• Drive strong underwriting results across the property and casualty portfolio.
• Identify and propose process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in Property and Casualty underwriting.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in decision‑making.
• Keen attention to detail with a proactive approach to challenging processes.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities to manage varying workloads.
• Customer‑centric mindset, always prioritising client needs.
