Senior QS / Commercial Manager – Glasgow (2 days remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to lead procurement and tender activities for major infrastructure projects. The role is based in Glasgow with two days of remote work each week, on a 36‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end tender process, preparing documentation, evaluating commercial bids and negotiating with suppliers to secure best‑value outcomes.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies and ITT (Invitation to Tender) processes for major infrastructure projects.
• Produce cost plans, estimates and benchmarking analyses to support project budgeting.
• Identify commercial risks, price contracts and advise on risk mitigation.
• Engage with design, delivery and stakeholder teams to ensure commercial alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pre‑contract and tendering on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with analytical and negotiation skills.
• Professional qualifications such as MRICS and/or MCIPS are preferred.
• Ability to work both on‑site in Glasgow and remotely for two days per week.
