Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead – Retail CAT A Fit-Out

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead to take full financial responsibility for a high‑profile retail CAT A fit‑out project in central London. Working on a Design & Build framework, you will drive the commercial delivery from inception through to final accounts, ensuring profitability and strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary commercial point of contact, overseeing all financial aspects of the D&B retail project.
• Manage CVRs, cash‑flow forecasting, cost reporting and preparation of final accounts.
• Lead sub‑contractor procurement, commercial negotiations and contract finalisation.
• Control variations, scope changes and provisional sums throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with the client, architects and other stakeholders to communicate commercial progress and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering retail CAT A fit‑outs on projects valued £5 million plus.
• Proven track record in Design & Build contracts and commercial risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to act as the sole Commercial Lead or Senior QS on large‑scale projects.
• Based in London and able to work on‑site and in the office as required.
