Senior Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

We are partnering with a Tier 1 contractor’s regional office to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will support large‑scale schemes ranging from £20 million to £120 million across education, defence, health, pharma and care sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Review and check programmes and cost plans at the 2nd stage of projects.
• Collaborate with the supply chain to develop detailed pricing and convert scopes into subcontract orders.
• Lead and develop commercial teams on larger schemes, including project‑level, assistant and trainee staff.
• Conduct pre‑start meetings, take packages onto site and supervise on‑site delivery.
• Oversee payments, valuations, variation accounts and contract administration.
• Prepare forecasts and CVR reports for Regional Commercial Directors.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in quantity surveying on multi‑million‑pound projects.
• Proven ability to manage and develop commercial teams.
• Familiarity with JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Experience working on framework awards in sectors such as education, MOD, health and pharma.
