Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

TSA Riley is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Cost Management team in central London, based in the Blackfriars office. The role suits a client-focused professional with strong experience across pre- and post-contract quantity surveying, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across property and built-environment sectors. You will help deliver projects with high-quality cost management, build lasting client relationships and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Own cost planning, estimating, procurement and contract administration to ensure commercial quality
• Lead valuations, variations, payment recommendations and monthly financial reporting
• Monitor commercial performance, identify risks and opportunities and support corrective actions
• Track contractual obligations, project changes and financial risks, escalating where required
• Resolve contractual queries, address challenges and mitigate commercial disputes
• Maintain cost data, contract records and reports using TSA Riley systems and templates
• Keep clear communication with clients and delivery partners, managing expectations
• Manage commercial compliance and risk management in line with TSA Riley standards
• Contribute to proposals, benchmarking, sector initiatives and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Project quantity surveying experience in a consulting or client-side environment across varied built-environment sectors
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline, or a non-cognate degree with ambition to pursue relevant pathways
• Progressing toward or holding RICS or equivalent professional accreditation
• Experience in agile environments and cross-functional teams
