Senior Quantity Surveyor – Thames Water Minor Capital Works

About the role

Gold Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering Thames Water projects across South East London. You will be based at a key site in South East London and will manage a high‑volume portfolio of minor capital works, supporting the delivery of around 150 projects each month.

Key responsibilities

• Commercially manage a large portfolio of minor capital works projects (values £5k‑£100k, occasional up to £1m).
• Prepare and manage Applications for Payment (AfP) and produce Cost Value Reports (CVR) for cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Oversee subcontractor administration and manage a small commercial team of four.
• Collaborate with operational teams to meet commercial performance and delivery targets.
• Support contract compliance and risk management processes.

Required profile

• Proven senior quantity surveying experience in infrastructure, utilities, water, highways, rail or civil engineering.
• Strong track record of managing multiple high‑volume projects simultaneously.
• Previous experience mentoring or managing a team.
• Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with NEC contracts is advantageous.
