Senior Record-to-Report Accountant

About the role

Burberry is seeking a Senior Record-to-Report (RTR) Accountant to join its Business Services team. In this role you will help shape high‑quality financial reporting across the Group, ensuring robust and transparent financial foundations for a global luxury brand.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver Record to Report activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and journal postings.
• Prepare and review reports supporting internal governance and external reporting requirements.
• Take accountability for assigned accounting areas, overseeing processes and supporting team members.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for Group Finance and external auditors.
• Partner with finance stakeholders to resolve queries, share insights and improve ways of working.
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls and reporting quality.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or studying towards one.
• Solid experience in financial accounting with exposure to IFRS and UK GAAP in a complex environment.
• Confidence working with large data sets and financial systems to support decision‑making.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and cultures.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership.
