Director, International Tax & Transaction Services – Financial Services

About the role

EY is seeking an experienced Director to lead International Tax and Transaction Services for its Financial Services practice across London and Leeds. You will work on high‑profile, multi‑country projects, advising banking, insurance and wealth & asset management clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain key client relationships by delivering exceptional service.
• Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a business‑driven approach.
• Identify and drive new opportunities, leveraging knowledge from projects, knowledge‑sharing sessions and technical training.
• Develop strong internal and external networks to support business growth.
• Coach and develop junior staff through delegation and on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Client‑driven with strong strategic and commercial awareness.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, flexible attitude and strong team player.
• Experience coaching and developing junior staff.
• Experienced tax practitioner with reviewing skills and expertise in international tax.
• Professional qualifications such as ATT, ACA, CA or CTA (or equivalent) and experience with financial services clients.
