Senior Recruitment Consultant – Finance (Sunderland)

About the role

We are looking for a sales‑driven Senior Recruitment Consultant to join Hays’ Finance Recruitment team at the Doxford Park office in Sunderland. The role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with recruitment teams, directors and line managers across the North East, sourcing top talent for interim finance positions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with large and small organisations in the North East region.
• Identify, approach and meet with key stakeholders such as recruitment teams, directors and line managers.
• Source, assess and place experienced candidates in interim finance roles.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of candidates and manage the full recruitment cycle.
• Collaborate with the wider Hays network to leverage PSL agreements, RPO/MSP accounts and warm client relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in recruitment, preferably within finance or interim staffing.
• Strong commercial mindset with a track record of meeting sales targets.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Resilient and able to navigate the highs and lows of a recruitment environment.
• Motivated, ambitious and able to inspire colleagues.
