Senior Remote Support Engineer – Hybrid (Watford)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Remote Support Engineer to lead a team of Remote Support Engineers and provide second‑line technical assistance across a nationwide engineering operation. The role combines leadership, hands‑on fault diagnosis of mechanical and electrical equipment, and the development of digital support tools.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Remote Support Engineers.
• Perform expert remote fault diagnosis on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with field engineers to deliver fast, effective resolutions.
• Design and improve internal digital tools, dashboards and support processes.
• Analyse service performance data and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding experience.
• Background in technical support, field service or engineering.
• Leadership or mentoring experience, or a clear desire to step into a senior role.
• Confidence with IT tools, automation and AI concepts.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with PLCs, sensors, motors or mechatronic equipment is advantageous.
