Senior Research Nurse – Neuroprogressive & Dementia Network

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Research Nurse to join the Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network at the Western General Hospital. This 12‑month fixed‑term position (Band 6) offers the chance to work within a leading research delivery team focused on neurodegenerative diseases.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants across multiple clinical trials in Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Lewy body dementia and related conditions.
• Ensure trial conduct complies with ICH Good Clinical Practice, research governance and NHS regulations.
• Coordinate study activities with clinicians, investigators and commercial partners, including recruitment, consent, data collection and follow‑up.
• Provide high‑quality patient care and support throughout the study lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate trial documentation and contribute to study reporting.

Required profile

• Post‑registration clinical nursing experience within the NHS.
• Understanding of clinical research processes and evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Experience with neurodegenerative conditions is advantageous but not essential.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice and research governance.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑site clinical trials and manage participant data.
