Senior Risk Manager

About the role

The Senior Risk Manager will lead the development and delivery of risk and opportunity management services for an integrated project controls team within the infrastructure sector. Working on a hybrid basis across office, client sites and home, you will support internal and external clients to identify, assess and mitigate risks while capitalising on opportunities to meet project and portfolio objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk and opportunity registers, defining titles, causes, consequences, owners and actions.
• Monitor and report risks, issues, controls and benefits through established processes.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative risk and opportunity analyses to support contract and programme management.
• Design and apply scenario‑modelling methodologies for cost and schedule forecasting.
• Provide line‑management and mentorship to risk practitioners across projects.
• Establish governance processes, audit schedules and assurance activities for the portfolio.
• Support integrated scope, cost and schedule baseline maintenance and risk‑based uncertainty estimation.
• Lead business development activities to secure new work and grow existing client relationships.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in risk and opportunity management within large‑scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, including line‑management responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of client risk processes and ability to constructively challenge and improve them.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with project managers, senior stakeholders and external clients.
