Senior Service Support Manager – Surgical & Critical Care

About the role

The Senior Service Support Manager will lead service improvement and governance across medical and surgical services within NHS Lanarkshire’s acute division. You will embed a culture of continuous improvement, overseeing the design, implementation and monitoring of new service configurations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead service improvement projects and whole‑system redesign initiatives.
• Ensure governance compliance and embed continuous improvement processes.
• Engage clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders to drive redesign and change.
• Communicate change processes and new service configurations clearly to all parties.
• Monitor operational impact of changes on performance measures such as waiting times.

Required profile

• Degree level education in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Significant senior‑level experience within a clinical service delivering service change.
• Extensive senior management experience within the NHS.
• Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
