Senior Social Worker – Duty & Assessment (Temporary)

About the role
Warwickshire County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join its Duty & Assessment Team on a temporary basis. This fast‑paced position focuses on short‑term interventions to protect children and support families.
Key responsibilities
- Complete 10‑day Child & Family Assessments promptly.
- Progress children’s plans from referral through assessment.
- Take cases through to closure, including First Child in Need Plans and Initial Child Protection Conferences.
- Conduct All About Me reviews for children in care.
- Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
Required profile
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Previous Duty & Assessment experience within a UK local authority.
- Strong assessment and risk‑management capabilities.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
