About the role

Warwickshire County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join its Duty & Assessment Team on a temporary basis. This fast‑paced position focuses on short‑term interventions to protect children and support families.

Key responsibilities

Complete 10‑day Child & Family Assessments promptly.
Progress children’s plans from referral through assessment.
Take cases through to closure, including First Child in Need Plans and Initial Child Protection Conferences.
Conduct All About Me reviews for children in care.
Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure safe and effective outcomes.

Required profile

Registration with Social Work England.
Previous Duty & Assessment experience within a UK local authority.
Strong assessment and risk‑management capabilities.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
