About the role

This contract position is for a Senior Software Engineer who holds eDV clearance, working for a leading national security organisation. The role is based in London and offers a competitive daily rate. You will join a team delivering critical defence and cyber‑security software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality software components for security‑focused applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with eDV clearance standards and relevant security policies.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous integration processes.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience as a software engineer.
• Current eDV (Enhanced Developed Vetting) clearance.
• Experience working within defence or cyber‑security environments.
• Ability to work onsite in London for the contract duration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
