Senior Software Engineer – Elixir (Remote, Europe)

About the role

We are building the next generation of workforce management at Sona, a fast‑growing AI‑driven platform for frontline organisations. As a Senior Software Engineer you will work closely with product teams and customers to turn real operational challenges into shipped solutions, using AI‑assisted coding tools as your primary workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Own features end‑to‑end across Sona’s platform, from scoping through delivery, including mobile app components.
• Use AI development tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) to direct, evaluate and correct agent‑generated code.
• Collaborate with customers in workshops and discovery sessions to ensure solutions address real pain points.
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers to shape solutions from vague requirements.
• Rotate across product domains such as scheduling, payroll, HR and staff engagement.

Required profile

• Senior engineer comfortable owning features from concept to production.
• Professional experience with Elixir and ability to assess and fix AI‑generated code.
• Proficiency with AI development tooling, able to demonstrate workflow under pressure.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Customer‑focused mindset, willing to engage directly with users.
