Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Accountancy Lead

About the role

Epos Now is expanding its Engineering department in Norwich and seeks a seasoned technical leader to own the end‑to‑end delivery of a new Embedded Accountancy Project. You will shape system design, mentor developers and integrate robust financial workflows into the global platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering delivery of the Embedded Accountancy Project from concept to production.
• Define and guide system architecture, ensuring scalability, data integrity and long‑term code quality.
• Champion technical discussions, refine best practices and collaborate with engineering leads and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive commercial experience as a Senior or Lead Software Engineer.
• Proven expertise in object‑oriented programming, modern backend design and database architectures.
• Strong background building or integrating complex APIs, data pipelines, microservices or financial/ledger systems.
• Ability to interpret complex technical requirements and provide guidance to a developing team.
• Willingness to work onsite at the Norwich head office.
