Senior Software Engineer – Innovation Foundry

About the role

The Foundry team at Redgate works without a fixed roadmap, moving from horizon‑scanning and ideation through early‑stage research, rapid prototyping, and direct customer validation. You will join a small cross‑functional group of engineers and a tech lead, tackling varied challenges across C#, TypeScript, Python and machine‑learning projects.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the full innovation arc: from idea generation and technical prototyping to customer testing and iteration.
• Run multiple experiments in parallel, contributing to ongoing projects while exploring new directions.
• Shape and adopt AI‑assisted coding tools as a core part of the development workflow.
• Balance technical work with customer interviews, competitor analysis, and clear communication of findings.

Required profile

• Proven experience using AI coding tools, understanding their limits and working safely around them.
• Strong software design and coding expertise in modern languages such as C#, TypeScript or Python.
• Hands‑on experience building agentic systems with frameworks like LangGraph, Microsoft Agentic Framework or MCP.
• Track record of designing and running fast experiments using lean‑startup principles and customer feedback.
