Senior Solicitor Advocate / Barrister (Band 3)

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking an experienced Solicitor Advocate or Barrister to join its Liverpool office. You will provide high‑level advocacy, advisory and drafting services across a range of complex legal matters, with training and peer review from senior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake advocacy, drafting and advisory work on high‑value pleadings, interlocutory hearings, fast‑track and multi‑track trials, CCMCs, JSMs, sanctions and recoveries.
• Maintain and develop technical expertise across Keoghs core practice areas and at least one niche practice.
• Command higher hourly rates and premium brief fees, advising senior client decision‑makers.
• Manage or assist in managing sub‑teams, mentor Band 1 and 2 advocates, and deliver litigation training.
• Develop client‑facing and product development tasks, and promote the in‑house advocacy team.

Required profile

• Full practising certificate (Barrister) or Higher Rights of Audience (Solicitor).
• 10+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven technical ability and track record as an advocate in at least three of: insurance fraud, general personal injury, EL/PL, large loss, costs, professional negligence.
