Senior Staff Nurse - ICU

About the role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join its high‑acuity ICU team. You will provide level 2&3 critical care to adult patients in a state‑of‑the‑art 29‑bed intensive care unit, working across a 6‑week rota that includes days, nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients requiring level 2&3 critical care in line with CCL policies.
• Prioritise care, recognise patient deterioration and promptly escalate to senior clinicians.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary input to ensure well‑coordinated patient management.
• Lead discharge planning in collaboration with the wider healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• Current NMC registration (First Level) with no practice restrictions.
• Experience as an ICU Senior Staff Nurse/Band 6.
• Full Occupational Health clearance for Exposure‑Prone Procedures.
• Willingness to undertake post‑registration courses.
• Demonstrated experience with invasive lines, mechanical ventilation, haemodialysis and vasoactive medications.
