Senior Supervisor/Lead Production/Maintenance/Repair/Facilities Engineer

About the role

Amazon’s Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team in Swindon is looking for a senior professional to lead production, maintenance, repair and facilities engineering activities. You will oversee shift operations, ensure equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement across the EU network.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate and enforce best‑practice safety procedures for equipment use.
• Monitor equipment performance through visual checks, condition‑based monitoring and preventative maintenance, scheduling additional servicing when needed.
• Supervise technicians on shift, support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimise downtime and keep package processing fast.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems and standardise processes across the EU network.
• Use SCADA tools to monitor process performance and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising technical teams in a manufacturing or fulfilment environment.
• Strong understanding of reliability maintenance engineering principles.
• Ability to analyse equipment data, diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• Experience working in shift patterns, including weekends and nights.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with line managers and cross‑functional teams.
