Senior Systems Engineer – Technical Leader

About the role

Driscoll’s is seeking a senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of critical servers and cloud platforms that power its business applications. This role combines hands‑on technical work with strategic leadership across the infrastructure stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy core infrastructure servers, platforms, and cloud services.
• Provide technical leadership for new system implementations, service redesigns, and management platform upgrades.
• Mentor and guide engineering, administration, and technical staff on best practices.
• Automate and streamline infrastructure operations, including system builds, deployments, and account provisioning.
• Document standard operating procedures for complex tasks performed by administrators and technicians.
• Assist with incident resolution, major incident recovery, and post‑mortem analysis.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident‑response plans to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure systems engineering.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, and deep technical knowledge.

Required skills

• Microsoft platforms: O365, Exchange, Azure AD, Windows Active Directory, Okta, PowerShell, SQL Server, SharePoint.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Octopus, Git.
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper‑V; cloud platforms: AWS (IAM, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC, Systems Manager).
• Hyper‑converged technologies: Nutanix, Rubrik.
• Monitoring and alerting: New Relic.
• Patch management and vulnerability remediation best practices.
