Senior Tax Manager – Product Tax (Financial Services)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join a leading global investment and wealth‑management platform. Based in Surrey with a hybrid working model, the role will support the Workplace Investing (Pensions) and retail ISA businesses, providing strategic tax advice and ensuring compliance with UK legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert tax advice on new product initiatives and legislative changes, identifying risks and guiding senior leadership.
• Deliver tax sign‑off for product, operational and marketing teams for launches and updates.
• Lead HMRC and customer‑facing product tax compliance, including year‑end processes.
• Improve and scale product tax systems and risk control frameworks across pensions and ISA lines.
• Monitor UK tax legislation, translate changes into clear briefings for non‑tax specialists.
• Maintain relationships with tax authorities, auditors, industry bodies and external consultants.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or tax professional (CTA, AIIT, CA, ACA or equivalent) with deep experience in financial services product taxes.
• Strong knowledge of UK Tax Acts, HMRC guidance and regulatory concepts for pensions and savings products.
• Ability to think strategically, use data to mitigate risk and anticipate market trends.
