Senior Technical Accountant

About the role

The Senior Technical Accountant will lead technical accounting matters and ensure accurate financial reporting for a medium‑sized technology and telecoms organisation based in London. You will provide strategic insight on accounting policies and support the implementation of new standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements in line with IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Manage complex technical accounting issues such as revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Advise senior management on the impact of accounting policies.
• Support the rollout of new accounting standards and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee accurate reporting and assist external auditors.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting.
• Mentor junior finance team members as needed.

Required profile

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially IFRS or UK GAAP.
• Experience in financial reporting and compliance within the technology/telecoms sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
