Senior Technical Designer – Live Event Visualisation & SFX

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join a leading international live‑events company. You will create immersive visualisations and special‑effects designs for world‑class tours, stadium shows, festivals and permanent installations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop pre‑visualisations of lighting, lasers, pyrotechnics and staging using Depence, Vectorworks or Finale3D.
• Produce accurate show files for touring productions, festivals and permanent installations.
• Collaborate with creative, technical and project‑management teams to ensure designs are safe, practical and meet artistic intent.
• Support rehearsals and live productions by refining designs as projects evolve.
• Research emerging technologies and mentor junior designers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in live‑event technical design, preferably on international projects.
• Strong understanding of safety standards for lasers, pyrotechnics and special effects.
• Ability to translate creative concepts into technically robust designs.
