Senior Transport Planner – Didcot

About the role

We are a growing multi‑disciplinary consultancy specialising in engineering, design and surveying services. We are seeking a Senior Transport Planner for our Didcot office to deliver transport planning projects from early feasibility through to planning application, working closely with clients, local authorities and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare site appraisals, feasibility studies, and pre‑application advice
• Produce Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
• Undertake traffic modelling and junction capacity assessments
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and project stakeholders
• Attend project meetings and represent the company professionally
• Support the delivery of high‑quality, client‑focused solutions

Required profile

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
• Proven consultancy experience within Transport Planning
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience preparing complex Transport Assessments
• Self‑motivated with a proactive and enthusiastic approach
• Desirable: Chartered or working towards Chartership
• Desirable: Experience in highway design and Road Safety Audits
• Desirable: Background in promoting large‑scale developments through the Local Plan process
