About the role
Serenade Café is a community café run by volunteers, where the kettle is always on, the smiles are warm and the tunes are flowing. It is looking for cheerful volunteers to help run the café, including welcoming guests, serving drinks and treats and joining in or leading light-hearted sing-alongs. The role suits retirees, students or anyone with a few hours to spare.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome guests and serve tea, coffee and treats
- Help set up and pack down the café space
- Join in or help lead light-hearted sing-alongs
- Create a warm, inclusive and musical atmosphere
Required profile
- Available Mondays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, fortnightly
- 18 years or older
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
Volunteering as a social visitor can improve the quality of life of older people and help them feel less isolated. Interested applicants are contacted by phone or text, or by email if contact by phone is not possible; further information is available on the HammondCare volunteering website.
