Serious Injury Solicitor – Associate/Senior Associate (Hybrid)

About the role

Our client, a leading South East law firm recognised in The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor (or Chartered Legal Executive) to join its Serious Injury team in Southampton. The role offers the chance to work on high‑value claimant personal injury cases, including brain injuries, complex orthopaedic injuries, amputations and fatal accident claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and progress multi‑million‑pound serious injury claims from inception to settlement.
• Conduct detailed case assessments, legal research and drafting of pleadings and statements of case.
• Collaborate with a partner‑led team to develop litigation strategies for adult and child brain injury, orthopaedic and catastrophic injury matters.
• Provide clear, compassionate client care and keep clients informed throughout the claims process.
• Liaise with medical experts, insurers and other stakeholders to secure life‑changing compensation.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 4 years’ experience in personal injury law.
• Demonstrated experience handling catastrophic or serious injury claims is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational skills, proactive approach and ability to work collaboratively within a specialist team.

Required skills

• Legal case management and litigation drafting.
• In‑depth knowledge of personal injury legislation and precedent.
