ServiceNow HR Software Engineer – Hybrid (Leeds/Halifax)

About the role

Join Lloyds Banking Group’s People Platform team as a ServiceNow HR Software Engineer. You will help shape the future of HR services by designing and delivering innovative ServiceNow solutions that simplify processes, improve employee experiences and integrate with core enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and customise ServiceNow HRSD applications to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, maintain Jira stories and Confluence documentation.
• Build and maintain integrations with Workday, Microsoft Azure‑hosted applications and other systems.
• Support BAU queries, analyse production incidents and keep technical documentation up to date.
• Conduct system testing, UAT and deployments, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Assist with platform upgrades, regression testing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience as a ServiceNow Engineer with Workday integration.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow technologies: JavaScript, Business Rules, Flow Designer, UI Policies, Document Transformation.
• Understanding of generative AI, automation and ServiceNow security best practices.
• Experience with integration protocols such as SOAP, REST, XML and XSLT.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills; ServiceNow certifications and agile experience are a plus.
