Sessional Lecturer – Business

About the role

Kingston College is seeking a Sessional Lecturer to teach GCSE Business to students aged 16‑19. The post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onward, with an expected start date in August 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons, preparing learners for examinations, and contributing to the development of the Business curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver GCSE Business lessons using a variety of teaching methods.
• Prepare students for exams, mark class work, homework and mock examinations.
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted support.
• Contribute to the design and improvement of existing and new Business provision.
• Utilise digital teaching tools to enhance learning experiences.

Required profile

• Strong teaching experience in GCSE Business.
• Enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about education.
• Ability to motivate, support and empathise with learners.
• Hardworking, flexible and receptive to new ideas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital teaching platforms and educational technology.
