Shift Production Manager – FMCG Manufacturing

About the role

This is a high‑visibility position managing rotating shifts on a fast‑paced FMCG manufacturing site in Blackpool. You will lead a team of up to 100 staff across two production lines, ensuring the daily plan is met while maintaining the highest safety, quality and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the daily production plan across multiple lines, meeting efficiency, waste and output targets.
• Manage shift labour, overtime and workforce planning within budgetary constraints.
• Ensure all safety standards, audits and risk assessments are completed and documented.
• Monitor performance metrics such as efficiency, waste and throughput, driving continuous improvement.
• Lead shift handovers, operational briefings and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Coach and develop team members to improve performance and accountability.
• Maintain plant readiness for audits, inspections and hygiene checks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in food or FMCG manufacturing management.
• Strong background in performance management and team development.
• Ability to manage production targets, including efficiency, waste and output.
• Experience working in a structured, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated capability to drive operational discipline and accountability.
