Short Course Unit Admissions Officer – Fixed Term

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Short Course Unit Admissions Officer to manage admissions for a variety of short courses, including government‑funded employability programmes, privately funded training and commercial CPD courses. The role is full‑time, fixed‑term covering maternity leave until January 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities and respond to applicant enquiries.
• Process applications, arrange interviews and communicate decisions to candidates.
• Maintain liaison with partners, stakeholders and external organisations.
• Prepare and deliver regular reporting for internal and external parties.
• Assist the Admissions and Data Manager with data management and GDPR‑compliant record keeping.

Required profile

• Experience working in complex multi‑partner environments within further or higher education.
• Strong communication, liaison and negotiation abilities with a wide range of customers.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own and team activities to meet deadlines.
• Proven track record of establishing effective systems and processes.
• Experience handling information securely in line with GDPR and reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with managing multiple workstreams and using reporting tools.
